Geek CERN Scientists claimed that they found GOD particle
Day : Wednesday , Date : 4th July 2012 registered as milestone in the world of science. In Switzerland sientists of European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) announced that they able to find GOD Particle means Higgs Boson. its assume that this is biggest and greatest successful experiment since last hundred years. Its all happen by around 3,000 physicists each – one named Atlas, led by Fabiola Gianotti, and the other CMS, led by Incandela – operate giant detectors in the collider, sorting the debris from the primordial fireballs left after proton collisions.
Higgs Boson : Interesting name, its nothing just a Hypothetical particle or other form of extreme power. Higgs Boson also popular with the name of GOD particle. It has nothing to do with god. It’s important to physics because it confirms the Standard Model of the universe, and basically holds the universe together. Without it, the universe could not exist.
Why called GOD particle : A great scientist named Leon Lederman (Nobel price winner) wrote a book about Higgs Boson and titled the book “The Goddamned Particle” because it’s so hard to find but when they send copy of their books to publisher they feared by taking glimpse of book name. they think the word(Goddammed) can create problem so they edited it and after that its get popularity with the name of GOD particle. However It is because it is called “The God particle” – that is – it is how EVERYTHING EXISTS. It does not prove there is a God – this has NOTHING TO DO WITH GOD. Whatever The particle has been the subject of a 45-year hunt to explain how matter attains its mass.
Why Particle named as Higg Boson : This name is related to two geeks first one is British physicists Scientist Peter Higgs and Indian scientist Satyendra Nath Bose. Satyendra Nath Bose best came to known in world for his work great work on quantum mechanics in the early 1920s, providing the foundation for Bose–Einstein statistics and the theory of the Bose–Einstein condensate. In year 1964 while roaming in Mountain of Scotland Peter Higgs just imagined a field which is encapsulated by heavy particles. The story begin and Higgs wrote a short paper exploiting a loophole in Goldstone’s theorem and published it in Physics Letters, a European physics journal edited at CERN, in Switzerland, in 1964 and then after many milestone achieved with lots of hindrance.

While Schooling! in physics we learned that everything is made up of atoms, and inside atoms are electrons, protons and neutrons. They are made of quarks and other subatomic particles. Since years ago scientists have long puzzled over how these minute building blocks of the universe acquire mass. Without mass, particles wouldn’t hold together and there would be no matter.
To find the solution European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) invented world largest and highest energy particle accelerator name Large Hadron Collider(LHC). LHC is spanned the border between Switzerland and France about 100m underground. CERN took 10 year to invent this machine from 1998 to 2008. The motto of invention is to allowing physicists to test the predictions of different theories of particle physics and high-energy physics, and particularly that of the existence of the hypothesized Higgs boson and of the large family of new particles predicted by super symmetry.
How work : It mainly consists of a 27-kilometre ring of superconducting magnets with a number of accelerating structures to boost the energy of the particles along the way. Apart it Approximately 96 tonnes of liquid helium is needed to keep the magnets, made of copper-clad niobium-titanium, at their operating temperature of 1.9 K (−271.25 °C), making the LHC the largest cryogenic facility in the world at liquid helium temperature. Thousands of magnets of different varieties and sizes are used to direct the beams around the accelerator. In priority to collision, another type of magnet is used to “squeeze” the particles closer together to increase the chances of collisions. The particles are so tiny that the task of making them collide is akin to firing needles from two positions 10km apart with such precision that they meet halfway!

Why need this experiment : While collision in HLC scientist found that same thing happening what happened 13 to 17 crore years back while Universe came in existence just because of a huge collision. its assume that universe form just because of Higgs boson theory.
How much cost for Higgs Boson Experiment : CERN’s atom highest energy particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider, alone cost some $10 billion to build and run and apart it Packages of huge number of scientist who worked day and night.
